Freestyle Grand Slam Tour Stage 2 SF1: Calm before storm?
The first game of both Semifinals ended in draws at Freestyle Grand Slam Tour Stage 2. Vincent Keymer (GER) and Magnus Carlsen (NOR) will get the white pieces against Hikaru Nakamura (USA) and Fabiano Caruana (USA) respectively in the second Classical game. In the battle of fifth place, both matches had a decisive game each. Ian Nepomniachtchi and Nodirbek Abdusattorov (UZB) defeated Arjun Erigaisi and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave respectively.
